It is located in western Belize, about 70 miles (110 km) west of Belize City, in the  Cayo District. Xunantunich is located atop a ridge above the Mopan River, well within sight of the Guatemala border. Cave Tubing is a must when visiting Belize! To this day, most of the caves here in Belize have ancient Maya artifacts, including sacrificial remains. The river dips in and out of these caves, allowing guests to float on river tubes through the caves. Just imagine drifting peacefully through mysterious caves and down the stream under the shades of nature’s luscious canopy.
